HALLOWEEN IN TRANSYLVANIA? - WHERE BETTER?

(Subtitle: Blood donors needed in Transylvania......we're starving heh heh heh my pretty's!)
Spend Halloween week in the home of Dracula, if you are brave enough!

After all! We love to have fresh blood here in Transylvania!

STAY FOR 6 NIGHTS - HOSTEL STAY £60 (75 EUROS) OR £160 FOR TWO PEOPLE SHARING AN EN-SUITE ROOM ON A BED AND BREAKFAST BASIS

Flights by Wizzair leaving Saturday 27th October from Luton, London to Timisoara, returning Saturday 3rd November cost £130 return, so they won't break the bank, (http://wizzair.com/en-GB/Select) nor will the rest of your stay cost a fortune (see previous Blog 'A Holiday for £300' just for an idea of the very cheap prices here.....http://steveromaniablog.blogspot.ro/2012/09/so-sunshine-holiday-for-about-300-yes.html)

But imagine being in the home of Dracula for Halloween! Are you brave enough?

The night of Halloween itself would be right in the middle of your stay, the Wednesday night, so there will be plenty of time for you to explore this beautiful country while you are here.
What about visiting one of Dracula's castes in Hunedoara to set the mood?
(http://www.castelulcorvinilor.ro/en/) Only 20 minutes by taxi for about £10. That's for however many you can fit into the car and the driver will wait for you while you tour that castle!

What about going up to the Cetate in Deva?(http://orasuldeva.ro/orasuldeva/index.phpoption=com_content&view=article&id=119:ruinele-cetatii-deva&catid=43:obiective-turistice&Itemid=91to be where the bats fly at night, and to take in the views over the city, and the beautiful countryside and mountains beyond?

Spend the rest of your time relaxing at one or two of the many pavement cafes.
Eating in one of the many fantastic restaurants where you can try local food (which is great) or international cuisine, and all very cheaply. This is just one of our favourites.........https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ceapa-Rosie/192033737500809
Tour the bars, so many bars to try. Try local beer which is great, or even sit and relax and have one of the best Guinness's you have ever tasted (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Opium-Irish-Pub/229527877073770 or https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dublin-Irish-PubP-Ta-VictorieNr8Deva/299356076746354?sk=info)

Afterwards just try any of the late night bars, they stay open until you leave, so just relax and enjoy yourself, enjoy the great music, enjoy the great company, and many of those bars will have special nights here for Halloween, including fancy dress so bring your costume with you!

I will bet that on most nights you will end up in Johns' Cafe (https://www.facebook.com/JohnsCafeDeva), where on Halloween night you can dress up and dance and enjoy the whole night, only leaving at dawn, (but beware of the sunlight!)and no visit to Deva would be complete without going to John's for Thursday night karaoke night!!!

Sanda and Gelo at john's
Language is no problem either, as English is spoken widely here, and having Romanian speaking English hosts to stay with is also a big help! (Who you might run in to one evening in any of these bars!)

I think the rest of your time here, however little time that is will be spent recouping your energy for the next round of fun!!

Like the idea?

Have a look at www.holiday-romania.co.uk first, then just book, but don't leave it too long! After all we do have a DEAD LINE!!
